Mutton Kuzhambu





Introduction

Welcome to Nellai Food Court...!Today we"ll prepare a unique Mutton Kulambu Recipe, without using coconut

we will make a thick Mutton kulambu.We prepare this Mutton Kulambu with onion and tomato paste.
Once you try this recipe ,I am sure it will be your favourite Mutton kulambu Recipe.

Ingredients

1.Mutton                                   -       1/2 Kg
2.Onion                                     -        5 No's (Medium )
3.Tomato                                  -        1 (Big )
4.Coriander leaves                    -       Some
5.Coriander Powder                  -       5 Tspn
6.Garam Masala                        -       1 Tspn
7.Kasmiri Red chilli Powder     -        5 Tspn
8.Turmeic Powder                    -        1 Tspn
9.Pepper Powder                      -        1 Tspn
10.Ginger Garlic Paste             -        2 Tspn
11.Oil                                        -        5 Tspn
12.Salt                                       -       As Required

Procedure

1. Cook the Mutton along with pepper powder,Turmeric powder and salt as required in a
 pressure cooker about 25 to 30 min on medium flame ( 4 or 5 whistle).




2.Heat 1 Tspn of oil in a Pan or Kadai  ,add half of the  sliced onion (2 nos) and saute it
 until it become transulcent .
3.Then add sliced tomato to it and saute until it become mashy then add some
 coriander leaves to it and saute a while.



4.Allow it to cool make it into a fine paste in a blender.
5.Heat a kadai and add 4 Tspn of oil to it ,then add Cinnamon ,Cardamom,Cloves,
 Pepper and Fennel seeds and saute a while.
6.Add remaining sliced onions to it and saute it until start to change it's colour on 
medium flame.



7.Add ginger garlic paste to it,and saute  for it's raw smell gone.
8.Now add coriander powder,garam masala ,chilli powder and turmeric powder to it and
 saute a while.
9.Add cooked mutton pieces without water (keep the water aside) and mix it  throughly 
with masala and cook it for 5 min with closed lid.




10.Then add 250 ml water (including the drained water  from cooked mutton) and cook
 for 10-15 min on simmer with closed lid.



11.After  10 min check it's consistency  if it  is in required consistency Switch Off the flame
 and Garnish with chopped coriander leaves to it(otherwise cook it for 5 min more).


       That's it Our Tasty "Mutton Kulambu" is Ready
